Virginia Driver Improvement Academy (VDIA) offers a Virginia DMV approved driver improvement course. Classes are held in Prince William County. VDIA uses the latest driver education data available. Its program is based on time proven SAFE DRIVING practices and theories. The course was developed by a National leader in traffic safety education. This course contains the most current information on defensive driving, collision avoidance, and the dangers of alcohol and drugs. It is the goal of the course to provide the necessary information and risk management tools essential to become a safe and effective driver. The course fulfills the 8-hour traffic school requirement for most traffic violations.

Our course uses videos, interactive exercises and class discussion to make your classroom experience both educational and enjoyable. If an online course is preferred, you are still required to travel to an approved test site. All online Virginia defensive driving courses require in-person completion of the final exam at a testing center in Virginia.

Note: If you are under 20 years of age or hold a Virginia Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) license, you are not permitted to take an online course. You must take the course in-person at a Virginia classroom location.
